Sun Follower for Portable Light Solar Panels (combined 400W power)

We started with two 200W portable solar panels—lightweight and flexible, but difficult to position for maximum sunlight. Instead of settling for less performance, we engineered a smarter solution.

Working within practical constraints, we chose cost-effective, readily available materials—like wood—to build a sturdy and adjustable structure, avoiding the high cost of custom metal fabrication. We sourced reliable motors, actuators, and electronic components, then integrated them with a microcontroller we programmed ourselves to automatically track the sun throughout the day.

The most critical components were custom-designed and precision 3D printed by us, ensuring everything fit together seamlessly and performed exactly as needed.

The result is a thoughtfully engineered, efficient solar tracking system—proof that with the right expertise, even simple components can be transformed into high-performing, intelligent solutions.
